I have a favorite tree along the bike path that travels between Lolo and Hamilton in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana.
I always try to get out between Missoula and Lolo each fall to shoot the river when it is encased with color from the turning leaves. Each different year has different results and I always look forward to seeing what each fall will bring. I was able to get out on a Friday morning this year and was excited with the photos I was able to get.
One of my favorite photos from our recent San Juan Islands bicycle tour. Overcast with mixed sun created interesting light and the mountains in the distance created depth. Shot with a 5D Mark III and the EF 28-135mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS lens. I also used a Hoya PL-CR 72mm circular polarizing filter. Click through to see the image.
