I always try to get out between Missoula and Lolo each fall to shoot the river when it is encased with color from the turning leaves. Each different year has different results and I always look forward to seeing what each fall will bring. I was able to get out on a Friday morning this year and was excited with the photos I was able to get.
Looking south shooting into the morning light.
Great color along a dried up river channel.
Calm water makes for great reflections.
More reflections.
Straight as a rail? Or not...
My favorite of the day.
I did not get out again during the remaing days of peak color. I'm already looking forward to the changing of the leaves next year.
